Welcome to the Social Services Fair of 35th International World Congress FICE International
The congress program includes the Social Services Fair – presentation of providers of social services for children and families, where participants will have the opportunity to meet different service providers in an informal atmosphere, connect, exchange information and start future cooperation.
Exhibitors will present: • Empowerment and guidance of children and young adults with behavioral problems; prevention of risky and socially unacceptable behaviors; strengthening communication and social skills; empowerment and networking of experts who work with children and young adults with behavioral problems. • The work of the mobile teams of the Center Maestral Split. A social worker and a psychologist provide services in the way that they go to the homes of the beneficiaries and in the premises of the institution, which are equipped and adapted for working with children through the project. This work in the community is an important factor in the process of deinstitutionalization and transformation of social care homes, considering that they visit families at risk, providing them with help in strengthening the family, improving the relationship between parents and children, and creating a healthy and stimulating environment for growing up, raising and educating children. In addition to primary families, we provide support to foster and adoptive families. A large number of families in these areas are isolated, isolated from traffic and without knowledge of support options, so the mobile team is the only way to provide them with help, which was recognized by the Ministry, which approved the employment and provision of services even after the end of the project. • The activities of the Support Center are focused on targeted, selective and universal prevention of risky behaviors of children and young people and post-institutional support for young people leaving care, as well as a series of activities aimed at strengthening the protective factors of the individual, family, school, community • Discovering the inner strengths and potential of children and young people, which ensure the conditions for the development of positive developmental outcomes. • Support for the further process of deinstitutionalization and prevention of institutionalization of children and young people. Alternative care as a carrier of social change. • raising awareness of the importance of regionalization of the spectrum of social services • Presentation of opportunities for publication of experience from practice and professional papers • Acquaint the participants with the goals, activities and results of the implementation of three-year programs to improve the digital competencies of foster parents • Promoting the rights and needs of children without adequate parental care • Shelter for victims of domestic violence – Provide care for victims of domestic violence through temporary housing in crisis situations and act publicly with the aim of raising awareness about the issue of domestic violence and the prevention of violent behavior. The basic goal of the shelter is achieved by providing temporary accommodation in crisis situations for women and children, victims of domestic violence – free accommodation, food and hygiene items, care and ensuring safety, psychosocial treatment through which we provide support and help to victims of domestic violence with the aim of mitigating the consequences of violence, empowering and strengthening the personal capacities of women and children to create prerequisites for an independent life, and through raising public awareness of the issue of domestic violence and implementing prevention and advocacy of victims’ rights through public action • “Children’s Smile” is a Caritas program of the Split-Makar Archdiocese that helps families with children who live in poverty or are at risk of poverty and social exclusion. The activities are aimed at preventing and alleviating child poverty, encouraging the healthy development of children, developing their talents and capacities, as well as professional and spiritual support for parents, with the aim of ending transgenerational poverty. • The activities of the family associate will be ensured within the social service of psychosocial support for the family or, exceptionally, with measures to protect the rights and well-being of the child prescribed by the Family Law only in situations where there is no safety risk, and a low or medium risk for the child’s development has been assessed.
